Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This app is an iOS app that helps a cat owner record the sounds their cat makes, group them into a personal dictionary, keep a diary of what the cat does, and read care guides. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and what choices you have.

By downloading or using the app you accept the practices described here. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.

One principle shapes most of what follows: the core of the app runs entirely on your iPhone. Recordings, your cat's profile and photo, the dictionary the app builds, and your diary are stored on the device and are not uploaded to us. We do not operate a server that holds your content.

2. Company Information

The app is provided by ZIVKA ZIZICA BB ("we", "us").

3. Categories of Information

3.1 Information you enter about your cat

During onboarding and later in the profile you may provide your cat's name, sex, date of birth or approximate age, coat colour and silhouette, how long the cat has lived with you, and a few care details (for example whether the cat scratches furniture or is free-fed). You may also add a photo of the cat, taken with the camera or chosen from your photo library. All of this is stored only on your device.

3.2 Audio recordings and the sounds your cat makes

The microphone is used when you start a recording. The app records the sound, analyses it on the device to estimate what kind of sound it is, and keeps the recording so you can play it back later. Recordings are stored locally on your iPhone and are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. The app does not listen in the background: recording only happens while a recording session you started is running.

You may also import an existing audio file, or a video from your photo library, so its sound can be analysed. The import is processed on the device; the imported file is not sent anywhere.

3.3 Content the app creates from your recordings

From your recordings the app builds a dictionary of sound clusters, accuracy statistics, activity and diary entries, and trend charts. This derived content lives on the device alongside the recordings it came from.

3.4 Account information

The app has no accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no password, so we do not hold a user profile for you.

3.5 Support enquiries

If you write to our support address, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you choose to attach (for example a screenshot or a device and app version). We use it to answer you and keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up.

3.6 Purchases

Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see or receive your card number, billing address, or Apple ID credentials. The app receives from Apple only the technical result of the transaction - whether a subscription is active, which product it is, and when it expires - and stores that status on the device. The purchase, its product identifier, price and currency are also reported to our analytics providers (see section 5) so that we can measure how the app performs.

3.7 Automatically collected information

The analytics and attribution tools listed in section 5 collect technical information about the installation and the session, including device model, operating system version, language and region, time zone, app version, IP address (used by those providers, among other things, to derive an approximate country or region), Apple's advertising identifier where you have permitted tracking, Apple's vendor identifier, and a record of in-app events such as which screens were opened, when the paywall was shown, and whether a purchase or restore succeeded. Event data is about how the app is used - it does not contain your recordings, your photos, or the content of your diary.

3.8 Push notification token

The app registers with Apple's push service to obtain a device token, and passes that token to AppsFlyer for uninstall measurement. The app itself sends no push messages. Reminders you set are local notifications scheduled on the device.

3.9 Device permissions the app requests

PermissionWhy it is asked
MicrophoneTo record your cat's sounds when you start a recording.
CameraTo take a photo for your cat's profile. Optional.
NotificationsTo deliver the care reminders you set. Local only. Optional.
App Tracking TransparencyTo allow measurement of which advertising campaign led to your install. Optional - see section 5.

Photos and audio files are chosen through Apple's own picker, which hands the app only the item you select; the app has no access to the rest of your library.

4. How We Use Information

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the app and your subscription), our legitimate interest (measuring product performance and preventing abuse), your consent (tracking, notifications, camera and microphone access), and legal obligation.

5. Third-Party Providers

The app includes the following third-party software development kits. No other analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK is present.

ProviderPurposePolicy
AppsFlyer Install attribution, in-app event measurement, and uninstall measurement (which uses the push token described in section 3.8). appsflyer.com/legal
Google Firebase (Firebase Analytics / Google App Measurement, App Check, Google on-device conversion measurement) Product analytics, protection of app requests against abuse, and conversion measurement. firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Apple (App Store, StoreKit) Selling and managing subscriptions, and confirming entitlement. apple.com/legal/privacy

These providers act as independent recipients of the technical data described in section 3.7 and process it under their own policies.

If you decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, the app does not access Apple's advertising identifier and attribution is limited accordingly. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The app shows no advertising of its own.

6. Disclosure of Information

We disclose information only:

We cannot disclose your recordings, photos, dictionary or diary to anyone, because we do not hold them.

7. Security and Data Retention

Content you create stays in the app's own storage area on your iPhone, protected by iOS sandboxing and the device's encryption. Data sent to the providers in section 5 travels over encrypted HTTPS connections.

You can delete your cat's recorded history from within the app at any time, and deleting the app removes all of its local data from the device, including recordings and photos. Analytics and attribution data is retained by the respective provider according to its own retention schedule. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the request.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

The providers named in section 5 operate globally, so the technical data described in section 3.7 may be processed in countries other than your own, including outside the European Economic Area. Where such a transfer takes place, it is made under the safeguards those providers put in place, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent you have given. Residents of certain US states may also have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected and disclosed, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, write to support@terrionre.com. We may need to ask for information to confirm your request. Because we do not hold accounts and your content is stored on the device, the fastest way to delete your content is to delete the history in the app or remove the app. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

The care guides in the app cite outside sources - for example veterinary and animal welfare organisations - and the app links to Apple's subscription management pages. Opening such a link takes you to a site we do not control and whose privacy practices are its own. We are not responsible for the content or policies of those sites.

12. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app changes or the law requires. The date at the top always shows the current version. Significant changes will be made apparent in the app or on this page; continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
